1. Drinking a lot of coffee

Many people drink coffee to help them wake up in the morning. They don’t even realize that it might be the reason for them not losing weight. Coffee is dehydrating our body; slows down metabolism and interferes with calorie burn.

 

2. Skipping breakfast

Everybody knows that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Many people think that skipping breakfast will help them lose weight. However, the research shows that individuals who skip breakfast tend to gain more weight than the person who eats in the morning. Our body needs energy once we wake up to start the metabolism, rehydrate itself and get rid of the accumulated free radicals and toxins.

 

 

 

3. Snacking

Snacking between meals can also contribute to gaining weight especially if you’re feeling down. Our dynamic life and stress can lead to unhealthy eating habits which affect our body.

 

 

4. Snacking after dinner

Dieticians recommend “locking” the kitchen after dinner. Eating enough proteins at dinner to feel full is important.

 

5. Not drinking enough water

Water is considered to be the best way to lose weight. Soda, alcohol and other beverages contain a lot of sugars and calories. However, water suppresses the appetite. Drink at least 6-8 glasses of water a day and make it a habit.
